We worked with the Daimler R&D and UX teams to test product simulations and make recommendations to improve the experience ahead of its global launch of MBUX.
Our approach
We designed a benchmark for a best-in-class infotainment experience. The tool included 180+ metrics across 42 use cases, covering topics from system performance and content to accessibility and brand.
Armed with the new tool, we tested the Mercedes product simulations against competitor systems and market-leading apps.
The outcome
Combining the statistics with qualitative insights, we provided 23 critical UX and visual design recommendations to improve the experience ahead of its global launch.
The product was launched at the Paris Motor Show with positive PR reviews.
The tool is being updated and used to continue to improve the experience across the vehicle for new use cases, including voice command and other connected applications.
